Jason Horley

Jason is a member of Collinear’s Board of Directors and has enjoyed a long association with the company as both an advisor and customer.

For approximately 10 years Jason was responsible for sales, marketing and customer operations for Axicom, Australia’s largest independent owner of wireless infrastructure (previously Crown Castle Australia Pty Ltd).  With approximately 1,800 towers across Australia, Axicom’s portfolio is extensively utilised by: Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, nbn™ Co (Australia’s National Broadband Network) and the operators of over 150 different radio networks.

Jason joined Axicom’s executive team in 2008 and has worked on a variety of network deployments covering various radio technologies including: P25, WiMAX, 3G and 4G.

Prior to joining Axicom, Jason spent 5 years working on reducing Australia’s ‘digital divide’ that left rural families and businesses with sub-standard mobile and broadband solutions.  As Managing Director of Telecommunications at Elders Limited, Jason led the establishment of an ISP which provisioned satellite and ADSL broadband services across rural and regional Australia.  In addition, during this period Jason led a national project, known as OPEL Networks, that was awarded an Aud$958m grant by the Australian federal government to deploy a nation-wide rural WiMAX network.  Under a change in government, this project evolved into the nbn™.

Jason holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and has completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School.  Jason grew up on a farm and obtained his graduate qualification from the University of Western Sydney in Systems Agriculture, where he majored in agribusiness.
